Education and Training Advisory Board Description

The Education and Training Advisory Board of the American Music Therapy Association was formed in 2003 and serves as a visionary body to advise, inform, and make recommendations to AMTA on issues related to music therapy education and training. This board examines policy issues that focus on professional standards and the relationship of these standards to education and training. ETAB is informed by policies and procedures of the National Association of Schools of Music and the Certification Board for Music Therapists, as well as other bodies within AMTA. In addition, the board stays abreast of trends relevant to music therapy education and training.
