Music Therapy Featured on American Idol

The final four contestants from American Idol took a trip to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles with cameras in tow to visit with patients and their families.  In this moving video, contestant Kree Harrison got to learn about the CHLA music therapy program from program director Alexandra Field, MT-BC and then experience a morning in the Newborn and Infant Critical Care Unit with Tacy Pillow, MMT, MT-BC in a family music therapy session. 

 

Contestant Angie Miller was also moved by the hospital’s philosophy of using the power of music to heal.  See her experience below.
