AMTA Assembly of Delegates Update Assembly Meeting: August 7th, 2023 (8-9:30pm ET) Dear Music Therapy Community, We are excited to share a brief update from the AMTA Assembly of Delegates Meeting held on August 7th, 2023. During this meeting, members of the assembly voted on and unanimously approved a motion regarding the 2024 and 2025 membership dues structure.

The American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) and the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT) are pleased to announce that music therapy title protection in Connecticut has been transformed to a music therapy license. Earlier this summer Governor Ned Lamont signed into law HB 6733, which included language to create a music therapy license overseen by the Department of Public Health. Please help us congratulate members of the Connecticut Task Force for their years of service in promoting​
