The National Endowment for the Arts and the University of California, San Francisco, launches the Sound Health Network (SHN), a collaboration with the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and Renée Fleming, the center’s artistic advisor. The SHN will promote research and public awareness about the impact of music on health and wellness. This online event will take place on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT.
The AMTA office will be closed December 23, 2020 - January 3, 2021 to reopen Monday, January 4. Thank you to everyone who made 2020 a memorable year! We look forward to seeing the AMTA community in 2021!​

The American Music Therapy Association invites applicants for one open position as Associate Editor for manuscript reviews for "Music Therapy Perspectives." The deadline for applications is 5:00 pm Eastern, December 22, 2020.
The AMTA Board of Directors’ 2020 Annual Meeting will be held virtually Tuesday, November 10, 2020, 8:00 pm-10:00 pm (EDT) and Tuesday, November 17, 2020, 8:00 am-10:00 pm (EDT). Members interested in attending as a guest, please RSVP to Dianne Wawrzusin,, on or before Wednesday, November 4, 2020.
