President's FY2018 Budget

March 20, 2017 05:34 PM

On March 16, 2017, President Trump released his FY 2018 budget blueprint.  The President’s budget proposes cuts to many programs and the elimination of entire agencies. Please note that the President's budget request is a first step in a very long budget process.

AMTA is aware of the proposed FY2018 budget and the many changes contained within. As this process moves forward, AMTA’s Government Relations department is closely monitoring the proposed federal budget and working with our many partners to respond, where appropriate.  AMTA will be posting regular updates and analysis of the budget and other federal legislative matters on the AMTA Facebook Page, Twitter, and in the Latest News section of the Homepage.

We encourage our members and others to exercise your rights and responsibilities as citizens and consider participation in the democratic process.  Contact your elected officials and express your opinions on the President’s FY 2018 budget.
