AMTA is Hiring! Seeking a Government Relations Associate

The Government Relations Associate will work with the Managing Director of Government Relations and Advocacy to implement American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) federal and state policy strategies on a range of issues that impact music therapy practice and access to services. Primary responsibilities will include contributing to association advocacy efforts with federal and state legislators and agency officials, supporting member advocacy training and grassroots campaigns, assisting in the development and dissemination of advocacy materials, and promoting the Association’s Mission.

AMTA is seeking applicants for the part-time employee position of Government Relations Associate (25-29 hours per week) with the potential to transition to full-time based on organizational needs and employee performance. The position is a remote role and offers a limited benefits package with pro-rated vacation and retirement contributions. The Salary range is between $32 - $39 per hour.  Actual compensation to be determined by the candidate’s experience and alignment with the position.
