Impact Factor Increase for Journal of Music Therapy

AMTA is proud to announce that the 2014 Impact Factor for Journal of Music Therapy is 1.185!

Released annually by Thomson Reuters, an Impact Factor score is a calculation of the average number of citations per paper in a journal.  Journal of Music Therapy’s Impact Factor is determined by dividing the number of citations the journal receives in a year by the total number of citable articles published in the journal in the preceding two years.

Journal of Music Therapy’s 1.185 is the highest Impact Factor the journal has earned since its first ranking with Thomson Reuters in 2008. It is now #34 out of 70 journals ranked in Thomson Reuters’ Rehabilitation subject category.
