New Member Resource from the Professional Advocacy Committee

AMTA's Professional Advocacy Committee has created a new moderated group on Facebook for music therapists and music therapy students to engage with content about education and representation of music therapy:

American Music Therapy Association Professional Advocacy

The goal of this group is to assist you by providing common advocacy tips and topics, including triumphs and common pitfalls, and to help you feel empowered and supported in your education and professional advocacy efforts.

Official posts are made by the Professional Advocacy Committee, but group members are encouraged to respond to conversation threads and instantly message the group page if you have advocacy questions or would like consultation with a committee member for your specific advocacy question or need. Please suggest topics to address in regular posts; message the administrators with your thoughts, questions, and advocacy successes. Check in for weekly tips and topics!
