November 2022 Updates

  • AMTA Website: The most up-to-date information is located under Latest News on the AMTA homepage. Posts can be found under News. Latest News is updated on an ongoing basis, so we encourage you to check it regularly.

 

 

  • Benefit Concert: Please help us spread the word about the upcoming benefit concert supporting AMTA, which will be held on December 11, 2022, at 7pm ET/6pm CT/4pm PT. This concert will feature Ken Medema, Robin Spielberg, Milton Bullock, and Ben Folds. Information can be found at https://www.musictherapy.org/benefit_concert_for_amta/.

 

 

 

  • Continuing Education: Supervising the Music Therapy Intern now available for free! This CMTE meets the requirements of the National Roster Internship Application for prospective Internship Directors and Supervising Music Therapists completion of a course in supervision. Focusing on the unique training needs of music therapy interns, this CMTE focuses on the stages of internship, ethics in supervision, and theories of supervision. The culturally responsive supervisor and music in supervision round out the learning areas. This CMTE also highlights the key National Roster internship guidelines as outlined by AMTA. Resources, along with AIAC regional representative information are included to assist with completing the application.  See the AMTA-U website for access:  amta-u.thinkific.com/

 

 

  • Symposium Information: The AMTA Inaugural Symposium is still open for registration. Thank you to all who contributed to the symposium, with special thanks to Vice President Andrea Dalton and Vice President Elect Jen Sokira for their efforts in making the symposium happen.  For asynchronous participation, go to the learning platform at amta-u.thinkific.com and access the symposium materials. Course videos have been posted, and each course has its own evaluation link. Completing your course evaluation will lead to you receiving a certificate in your email within a week. Symposium courses and materials will be available to you until 2/28/2023.
