Today Phase I of AMTA’s new website launched.

We want to acknowledge something directly. There are places on the new website in which we used AI-generated images. In response to the concerns raised by our members and the music therapy community, all AI-generated images have now been replaced with licensed iStock photos. We understand that for a profession rooted in human connection, using these images was the wrong decision and does not reflect our community the way it should. Our music therapy community, and the people they serve, deserve to see themselves accurately represented. We should have been clearer about this in our communications and choices.

In Phase 2 we plan to further seek images that meet the website requirements (page content, placement, etc.) and better represent the work you do and the clients we serve.

Thank you to those that reached out expressing your deep concerns and holding AMTA accountable, your input, feedback and ideas are greatly appreciated. We will apply this feedback as we continue improving the website and our processes for reviewing content and images.

We remain committed to ensuring that the completed website authentically reflects the profession and the community AMTA represents.
