MMTS is a private music therapy agency providing services to clients of all ages in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, mental health facilities, schools, and private clinics throughout the greater Sacramento and Monterey, CA regions. Position Details / Hours

• Initially Wed & Thursdays at our Pacific Grove clinic: 16 hrs.
• This is expected to grow to full time by Jan 2027 due to ongoing referrals.

Required Qualifications

• Current MT-BC (required)
• Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT) training/experience.
• Minimum 2 years employment experience as MT-BC preferred
• Strong clinical musicianship (guitar, piano, voice), including improvisation and songwriting
• Excellent written/verbal communication, organizational, and time-management skills
• Familiarity with EHR systems, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office
• CPR certification, TB clearance, and proof of vaccinations (COVID-19, Influenza, Varicella, Hep B, Tdap)
• Ability to pass CA DOJ/FBI background check, health screening, and drug test.
• Must be ok working independently and have an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Experience with community outreach and public speaking preferred.

Compensation

• $40.00/hour starting (non-exempt), based on experience, credentials, and internal equity.
