Part-Time Board-Certified Music Therapist (Opportunity to Grow) – Sound Starts Music Therapy

Sound Starts Music Therapy is hiring a part-time music therapist for primarily center-based work with children and individuals with disabilities across our North DFW locations in Frisco, Grapevine, Plano, and Prosper. The position begins at approximately 16 hours per week with the opportunity to grow as the caseload builds.

This position is primarily focused on providing individual and group music therapy services in Sound Starts’ established North DFW centers. Additional school or community-based work may be available depending on the therapist’s interests and availability.

The position is approximately 16 hours per week to start, with the opportunity to grow. Saturday availability is generally required.

Starting pay is $24.15–$30.15 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Mileage reimbursement is provided for applicable travel. A $1,000+ sign-on bonus is available. Additional benefits are available if the position grows to full-time status.

Preferred start date: As soon as possible.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Music Therapy from an AMTA-approved program
• Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) or eligible to sit for the CBMT examination
• Ability to work with children and individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel within the North DFW area when needed
• Saturday availability generally required
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
