In response to recent acts of violence and social injustice against Black people in Minneapolis and across the country, AMTA condemns historic and ongoing forms of racism that permeate our society and institutions. We are heartbroken that this is happening.

Performer and American Music Therapy Association Spokesperson Robin Spielberg was featured in a new digital series, "FPAC Live," from the Jim and Joyce Faulkner Performing Arts Center at the University of Arkansas on May 19. Robin speaks about how she thinks music therapy and other types of music can provide comfort and add to our community. The event was recorded and posted to the Faulkner Center homepage.

Music therapists Tara Brinkman and Steven Franco work at Department of State Hospitals - Atascadero, a maximum security forensic hospital. Both therapists work with various groups and individuals in the forensic hospital, but in this podcast they talk about a centralized group called REACH-Music. Learn about the structure of the REACH-Music group and some of the research behind their work with these clients.
