The American Music Therapy Association extends heartfelt congratulations to this year’s elected volunteer leaders. The Association is pleased to welcome these individuals into their new roles and looks forward to the vision, passion, and expertise they will bring to the community. Their leadership will help shape the future of AMTA and advance the Association’s mission.
Elected Volunteer Leaders
- Leslie Orozco Henry, President Elect (2024–25) — to assume the presidency on January 1, 2026
- Brian Jantz, President Elect (2026–27)
- Marta Hernández-Candelas, Vice President Elect (2026–27)
AMTA also extends appreciation to every member who participated in the election process. To ensure fairness and security, elections are conducted by an independent third-party vendor, with all ballots encrypted for confidentiality. Neither AMTA nor the vendor has access to individual voting records. This year, 26% of AMTA’s voting membership participated in the election process.
AMTA thanks its members for their continued commitment to the Association and the profession. Member engagement matters, and every voice makes a difference.
In preparation for assuming the presidency in 2026, 2024-25 President Elect Orozco Henry, 2026 President Elect Jantz, and 2026 Vice President Elect Hernández-Candelas will work closely with current President Snell, the Board of Directors, and our staff and consultants to ensure a smooth transition to the 2026-2027 term.
