September 22, 2022 08:15 AM

The American Music Therapy Association is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the inaugural AMTA Symposium, which will be held online November 13-16, 2022. The preliminary program and registration portal is available at

The 2022 AMTA Symposium, presented by Liquid Mind Musical Healthcare, features seven CMTE courses each approved for 5 credits. The opening session will include a keynote address on cultural humility by Dr. Juliana Mosley-Williams, part of the Carol Bitcon Lecture Series. Additionally, there will be multiple opportunities for networking and collective music engagement. All sessions are included in the single registration fee, which is offered on a sliding scale.

Thanks to generous donations, scholarships are available for students, interns, and new professionals on a first come, first serve basis. More information is available at the registration portal.

The AMTA Students (AMTAS) is sponsoring the annual Passages program in conjunction with the Symposium on Sunday, November 13 from 10:00am - 12:30pm EST. Within the theme “Music Therapy Is…” the program will include student presentations and roundtable discussions. Passages is free for all students. More information and registration at
