The International Relations Committee welcomes submissions for consideration for the Global Perspectives Session at the AMTA Online Conference 2020.  The session showcases international music therapy projects, scholarly work, and service opportunities from around the world.  Submit your proposal by the deadline, August, 15, 2020.

Ethical decisions are not always simple; it is more important than ever to practice our ethical thinking skills. In this video, 3 members of the AMTA Ethics Board discuss a fictional ethical dilemma asking what to do when a music therapy client and caregiver cannot or choose not to wear a mask during a music therapy session. We use the AMTA Code of Ethics and an ethical decision making model to discuss important considerations and possible solutions in a situation like this one.

Help us advocate for the music therapy profession! One of the most important things you can do this year as a music therapist or a member of AMTA is complete the annual AMTA Survey. We ask all members and music therapists working in the music therapy profession to participate in this survey, which helps us draw an accurate picture of the music therapy profession.
